My babies

I have roared in the night

Swung my mane to the beat

Of the summer’s hot breath

I have lay my fin so proud

In the grooves of a mountain’s side

My babies I am your lion

And I have found my body gliding

Curved my neck to the light of the sky

Danced through the thickness of slippery waters

And felt softness eclipse In only your skin

My babies I am your dolphin

And I have wept in the clouds

My beak smiling

I have surrendered my wings to the rain falling

Arched my bones to trace your hearts in the air

My babies I am your griffin

And I am warm here

Cradling your shadows

Splashing in the music of your beauty

Forever thanking your souls that I’ve found you

My babies

I am your mama
