I would love to get involved and share women's bodies as a positive instead of a negative.

I live in Portland, OR. I am a freelance Female Photographer and also the mother of an 11-yr-old daughter.
I create portraits and have always maintained my images free of photoshop...unless requested. I fundamentally believe that it's the so-called "imperfections" that make us unique and beautiful.
I would love to be a part of this family as a photographer. I believe there are many women in Portland who would love to have their stories told.
thank you for doing this.

I'm a freelance photographer who stayed out doing landscapes but grew into weddings, family, maternity, baby, graduations, dance, etc. I'm also a Social Worker and I find such peace and wonderful stories in photography.

I am a mother of three daughters, and believe in empowering women to overcome their feelings of inadequacy that are rooted in our society's contrived definition of beauty and strength. This distorted view of reality is forced upon us daily through social media, magazines, the fashion and make-up industry and the workforce. Although the majority of our female photography clients have succumbed this prevalent view of beauty by desiring highly retouched images, I am embarking on a female-centered project that embraces the same philosophy as this project. On a personal note, I have had to struggle along with the insecurities of many women to break this mentality that beauty is only physical. I believe beauty is defined by character and inner qualities that all women possess but need help finding. I want to be a part of their journey as we redefine society's definition of beauty.

I could not be more excited to be considered for such a great campaign! How beautiful! I most photograph families but asked a few clients with great stories if I can take these type of photos and they were thrilled. I am happy to share these photos if I am considered a good candidate.

I would love to get part of this team, as a mother of 2 I know how hard it is to accept yourself not to mention love yourself in today's society. I have a passion for woman and Raw beauty. It would be a honour joining your team. Thank you Jana , New Zealand

I am a doula photographer childbirth educator and most importantly a mother! I had my first son last year on October 19th after giving birth I hated my body because all I seen while looking in the mirror was ststretch marks and fat and more stretch marks, everyone kept telling me to get my body back and feeling bad for me because of my stretch marks and how bad and "dark" they where. I was so depressed I hated everything about my body until one day I looked at my son and said I love my body. Because if it wasn't for my body I wouldn't have you here I wouldn't be able to feel this unconditional love that I now feel in my heart I wouldn't be able to hold someone and say that I have a little man I have a family. My body did an amazing thing my body gave me the best gift ever my body helped my baby grow big and strong and my body helped birth my baby to this world right into my hands and heart. My husband always use to look at me and tell me your beautiful your body is sexy I always use to look at him and say "haha very funny your just trying to be nice to me" and he would respond "no I love you and your body more than ever" he was always my number one fan! After becoming a doula I met a bunch of women and they all ask me the same thing "how's my body going to look after birth how will I get my body back" or "how do I get rid if these stretch marks" I always use to look at them and tell them what their body is about to go through and what they will have after this and that if it wasn't for our awesome amazing body we wouldn't have a family we wouldn't have a little person for us to smother in kisses and hugs. They would all look at me and hug me some even cry and tell me "I have never thought about it that way" I've always wanted to do something like this but didn't know if anyone would be interested. I would love to be apart of your team and I would wish to get a bbetter price since times are rough right now. I deserve this because I see alot of pregnant women because of my job and would love to get them involved in this would love to tell then you know what I have a little surprise for you and take amazing pictures and make them feel like a superstar and spoil them because us women deseve it. We don't get enough credit at all from pregnant to birth I want to show these women how awesome they are how amazing it is to be a female to birth to hold a baby to grow to produce milk to say I did it, I brought this baby into the world. My body did it my body protected, loved, made grew with and for my baby and last but not least birthed my baby. It would be an honor to be a part of this! I would be looking forward to your email or call and I can not wait to get it!!

I LOVE your work! I am only 19 years old and i have struggled so bad with my appearance. I have PTSD and because of this i struggle greatly with my weight and extra hair on my body then most women have. I do not have the perky little boobs that most 19 year old have either. I am always wearing a tank top to cover up my back because i don't want people seeing a inch of my body besides my arms, legs, and face. I know im not ugly but i don't feel pretty very much. I would love for you to consider me in your art work it would mean a lot to me.

I am in love with revealing the true light that everyone has within themselves. To strip away the layers of falsity in order to unveil the truth within is the most humbling and prestigious honor of any photographer. I would love to be a part of this project.

My professional career started after the birth of my first daughter (she's 18 now) I started with powerful and beautiful, untouched, film portraits of naked pregnant women. As my family grew, I took family portraits and head shots. My focus seems to always have been how powerful women are in their natural state. I've been excited about the work of ABBP because it makes me recognize that there are other photographers out there doing similar work.
YAY!
These days, I'm doing mostly portrait or headshot work, and currently have my work up at the BC museum in Victoria as part of a project called "Our Living Languages". I'm based in Vancouver. www.lisahartley.com
