As a nurse for over 40 years with a doctorate in Public Health I have worked extensively with women and children. I was partofhe team that helped make Kaiser Hayward the first Baby-Friendly hospital in CA and visited other countries to se how childbirth and motherhood is addressed, including such countries as Cuba where new mothers sit in a circle after birth and nurse their babies as a group; where children grow up watching women nurse babies and toddlers in public as the norm (and how better t learn and do). This is a magnificent project and a great tribute to women and their bodies.
