I have been a photographer for over ten years and am self taught with some black and white training/education.
Growing up in Calgary Alberta where I began taking photos than stopping in Salmon Arm BC where I was a media photographer for four years covering events in and around the surrounding area ,now settled in Vancouver BC where I continue my goals creating images for my self and others.

Some of my work has been published in local magazines through out British Columbia such as Event, Front, Thompson Life Magazine and Okanagan Life Magazine. I have also showed my work in galleries in Salmon Arm BC.

I specialize in photographing women as a means of exploring the inner thoughts and beliefs they have around their bodies. I have developed my own technique called "femography" which helps in developing a role model of self worth based on a woman's own portrait image rather than from an external source. I recognize the positive influence that being in nature has on body image and use Ecofemography (www.robinruth.com) as a way to empower women. Our self portraits have the power to reveal the discrepancy of how we look and how we hope to look, and this oftentimes difficult to face awareness begins the healing process. I am currently working on my doctorate in clinical psychology to better provide professional guidance for women in overcoming negative body image and eating disorders. I live in the san francisco bay area.

I just stumbled upon this site today and am In love with the whole idea. I started a project this year with a woman who is going through a double mastectomy, and have completed 2 of the 4 shoots she wanted from before during and after the whole process. I also shoot many boudoir type photos for woman of all ages, and I love seeing them come in to the studio one way and leave changed. I would love to be part of this project. Most of my site and blog is weddings and engagements, as Im from a small town I don't often get permission to post to many of the more personal photos. I hope to get accepted and work with you over the next year!
